What are your daily responsibilities?
-Reporting out on project work ongoing at Bruce Power site: weekly schedule updates, timesheet entry, contract updates, auditing and costing alignments -Troubleshooting and optimizing reports on an ad hoc basis
What were some projects you were involved in?
I wasn't involved in specific engineering project work, but I had the opportunity to complete different assignments, which involved travel to Bruce Power site and organizing monthly project management lessons learned meetings.
What were strong points of your interview? Did grades matter?
-Consultancy attitude: professionalism, accountability, importance of quality and continuous improvement -Experiences working as a team and in a leadership role, conflict resolution, problem solving skills -Knowledge of the nuclear industry -Yes, grades matter!
Which skill sets/courses were most relevant to your position?
-Skill sets: Organization, oral and written communication (phone calls and emails), analytical skills, attention to detail -Courses: ESP I&II (know and understand the phases of an engineering project), Programming courses (many of the reporting processes use code in Microsoft Excel and API), knowledge of Microsoft Excel
What did your company expect from you as a 2nd/3rd year co-op student?
-Dedication, in order to meet all client deadlines -Enthusiasm, and a fresh perspective on how to improve existing processes -Ability to multitask and process a high volume of information -Accountability and professionalism, as you interface directly with the client
Did you like your overall PEY experience? Why or why not?
I had a great PEY experience. I enjoyed working in a company that is dedicated to continuous improvement and providing the client with high value solutions. The people are friendly, highly skilled and intelligent, which made for a great working environment.

The whole section goes for coffee breaks and eats lunch together.
