Participant Info

Sanofi Pasteur
Quality Operations Co-op Student
Work Term
Sept 2014 - Aug 2015
What are your daily responsibilities?
Running weekly/monthly metrics for my manager to determine the state of the company. I am also responsible for reviewing documentation and records to ensure that information provided is correct.
What were some projects you were involved in?
One of the main things I am involved in is assisting with inspections from various countries. This included running reports and providing the information required for the inspections.
What were strong points of your interview? Did grades matter?
The most important thing that I will tell anyone is to have good communication. Being able to communicate with people is one of the most important skills to have. Grades did not matter at all.
Which skill sets/courses were most relevant to your position?
There is a lot of work done with Excel.
What did your company expect from you as a 2nd/3rd year co-op student?
A lot of the work that is given to me is often very vague so being able to understand what your manager wants and finding ways to manipulate the data to the way that they want it is very important.
Did you like your overall PEY experience? Why or why not?
One of the downsides is the fact that there is little to no engineering work involved in the position. Also, there are times where work can be very slow so being patient is key. Sanofi has a very positive work environment and you will be treated very well here.
One fun fact about your job?
Our department is one of the most important in the whole company. Without us, the company cannot function.
