What are your daily responsibilities?

Most solar MicroFIT design and construction projects. Development of company's quoting tool for MicroFIT and Net Metering projects. Implementation and integration of company's new database system for project management.
What were strong points of your interview? Did grades matter?
Be honest and show enthusiasm. The company was looking for an electrical or mechanical engineering student to fill in the position. Since I really liked the position, I applied anyways and got it eventually. Cannot say that grades didn't matter at all. At least it shows that you are comfortable learning new things constantly and can learn quickly, which is kinda important when diving into a completely new field.
Which skill sets/courses were most relevant to your position?
Not really chem-related. Probably programming and anything electrical and structural.
What did your company expect from you as a 2nd/3rd year co-op student?
Students coming into this field for the first time can see things differently than people who've been working for years. New mindset and perspective is extremely valuble. Picking up new skillsets quickly is also very important. Take initiatives.
Did you like your overall PEY experience? Why or why not?
For sure it is a fascinating experience so far. Being exposed to an industry that I've long dreaming to be part of. Since the company is small, I get the opportunity to have a say in pretty much everything.
One fun fact about your job?
Solar panels, inverters, rackings and everything related are right beneath the office area, like a loft. Everytime when the boss tried to explain something to us and can't draw very well, we went right downstairs and took something apart.
