- Reports generated on a weekly or monthly basis. - Progress on projects
What were some projects you were involved in?
- Implementing a new software tool to optimize carrier allocation. - Analyzing greenhouse gas savings and carbon emissions for possible green implementations - Cost Benefit Analysis for carriers
What were strong points of your interview? Did grades matter?
No, grades did not matter. The ability to correlate past work experience and make it relatable to the current job applying for. Interest in the job without being over prepared.
Which skill sets/courses were most relevant to your position?
- Knowledge in Microsoft Excel and Access - Familiar with geography is a good asset and environmental chemistry
What did your company expect from you as a 2nd/3rd year co-op student?
- Ability to make a contribution to executive decisions. - Opinionated, they want you to analyze the situation and value your conclusions. - Independent thinking, there is alot of help and guidance but they want you to learn and be able to apply yourself.
Did you like your overall PEY experience? Why or why not?
Yes, the community is a large factor that plays into this. The people are great and the guidance along the way is extremely helpful. The transition period is short but you learn much more in 4 months than other short co-op experiences.

This position allows you to think freely of other ideas which might help the company save money.
