What are your daily responsibilities?
Varies based on the client engagement you are staffed to. It boils down to a lot of meetings with team and client, PowerPoint slide building. and using Excel to manage data. Had to do a bit of VBA at one point as well.
What were some projects you were involved in?
Worked on the technology implementation of a risk reporting platform for a Schedule I Bank.
What were strong points of your interview? Did grades matter?
Interview was entirely behavioral. They tested some general knowledge, but really just wanted me to explain how I thought I would fit in with the Deloitte culture. They also dive into your experiences. Feel free to reach out to me if you'd like to touch base on this. They have a GPA cutoff, but it isn't too high (3.0). If your GPA is below this, you should still apply because they still look at your resume regardless of GPA (at least I did when I was resume screening).
Which skill sets/courses were most relevant to your position?
Interpersonal skills, time management skills, interpersonal skills, ability to deliver quality, interpersonal skills.
What did your company expect from you as a 2nd/3rd year co-op student?
Essentially they expect someone who can work effectively and amicably in a team environment. They want someone who they can put in front of a client. The need someone who they're sure will deliver high quality deliverables. Attention to minute detail is important.
Did you like your overall PEY experience? Why or why not?
I liked it. The people are awesome, I made some good friends.
