What are your daily responsibilities?
Excel spreadsheet debugging, data entry, data organization etc.
What were some projects you were involved in?
Updating equipment cost, building a cost database within GE central platform
What were strong points of your interview? Did grades matter?
Short interview, 15mins questions with my manager in the Oakville office. It was straightforward, just had a conversation her and my project supervisor.
Which skill sets/courses were most relevant to your position?
Separation Processes and Process Engineering
What did your company expect from you as a 2nd/3rd year co-op student?
The main one is comfortable working in complicated "Excel tool" spreadsheets with VBA code.
Did you like your overall PEY experience? Why or why not?
It was an average experience. I didn't enjoy the amount of data entry/organization work involved but it's quite normal for students to be loaded with those tasks. The people in the work place were friendly (for the most part).
One fun fact about your job?
I captained a food drive and all the teams built one of the seven wonders.
