What are your daily responsibilities?
What were some projects you were involved in?
What were strong points of your interview? Did grades matter?
Safety is an important part of the culture at the company and was asked a lot about in the interview. I don't know if my grades mattered; they weren't mentioned in my interview but they could have been considered.
Which skill sets/courses were most relevant to your position?
Some VBA and a lot of Excel work is required. You work with a lot of different people to get information and complete projects and need to be comfortable with (or receptive to learning about) dealing with people and taking on a supervisory role with more experienced workers than yourself. You also have to be okay with, from time to time, doing semi-dirty jobs that are sometimes outside.
What did your company expect from you as a 2nd/3rd year co-op student?
Ability to use and figure out technology, knowledge of mass and energy balances and P&IDs, and an open mind.
Did you like your overall PEY experience? Why or why not?
I do like it. It's interesting and you get to do and see a variety of jobs in and outside of the mill. The people are really nice and patient with teaching you how procedures, technology, processes, and equipment works. The work is often very hands-on and you don't end up sitting at your desk all day.

This job will be most enjoyable if you like/don't mind the outdoors and small towns! (But it is a good experience either way)
