What were strong points of your interview? Did grades matter?
Grades did matter in my selection as an interview candidate.
Which skill sets/courses were most relevant to your position?
Quick learning and good communication are most relevant to my position. I work in the Chemistry department of the company and our job is to ensure the chemistry of the plant is within specification. This requires us work as a team with the rest of the power plant. Communication is key. There is little technical aspect to the job.
What did your company expect from you as a 2nd/3rd year co-op student?
My company expected me to learn as a student. They would give me assignments based on well I performed and would not overload me with work. I enjoy the experience, because I get more and more responsibilities as I show my department how capable I am at doing my work.
Did you like your overall PEY experience? Why or why not?
I like my PEY experience. I like seeing the new friends I have made. Everyone is willing to teach me things relevant to the job as well as lessons from their own life experiences.
